The young dutch designer Bas van der Veer was awarded the prize for best project at the design academy eindhoven graduation galleries exhibition for his 'bioplastic planter' and 'a drop of water' which deal with planting and water collection in the urban environment.
'A Drop of Water' is a rain barrel that makes saving water really easy by providing a watering can that is automatically filled when it rains. This way, the user doesn't have to fill the can with our precious tap water, but uses 'free' rainwater instead to water the garden.His website shows the detailed prouction steps with several pictures
